The MAXQ1850 is a versatile high-security microcontroller. With a low pin count and package size, the MAXQ1850 can act as a secure coprocessor in more complex applications like electronic voting machines, or the main processor in smaller applications like simple PIN pads. Advanced security features allow applications to meet security specifications, including FIPS 140-2 and PCI-PED 2.1. The MAXQ1850 protects application data and secret IP (intellectual property) with high-speed cryptographic accelerators for 3DES, AES, SHA-1, SHA-2, RSA, and elliptic curve algorithms.
