Design Support

Ramtron offers development and evaluation system and support tools for its Ramtron FRAM-Enhanced Versa 8051 microcontroller products. Available tools include the VersaKit-30xx devboard with VJTAG-USB in-circuit programming/debugging interface, links to free C compilers, assemblers, and demo programs, as well as Versa Ware JTAG in-circuit programming/debugging software, which is compatible with many C compilers and assembler. The VersaKit-30xx devkit can also be used to evaluate Ramtron's FRAM memory devices including the FM31256 Processor Companion, FM25CL64 (serial SPI FRAM) and FM24CL64 (serial I²C FRAM). Third party parallel programmers also support Ramtron microcontrollers.
