Design Support

Infineon supplies a complete chain of generic tools which include compilers, debuggers, programming tools, simulation modeling, and DAvE. DAvE stands for Digital Application Virtual Engineer and is Infineon Technologies' code generator for their range of 8-, 16- and 32-bit Microcontrollers. It provides initialization, configuration, and driver code to ease programming for beginners as well as experts. In addition to the optimized development tool-chains from third parties, Infineon now offers DAVEBench. DAVEBench is a full featured free development tool-chain for the XC800 family which includes a C-compiler, assembler and Debugger. Other tools are available for support for all processor products with tools from low budget to high end with customer support including training, support, bug fixes, and updates for the tools.

Infineon's Motor Control Application Kits provide system level education, reference designs, and optimized software to enable hardware and software designers to implement advanced motor control techniques. This includes sensored and sensorless control of BLDCs and Vector Control for a PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine) type motors. The kits include the inverter power stages and are available in a range of voltages from 12V DC to 230V AC for consumer motor control applications. Kits are also available for stepper and DC motors.
