Targets: General Purpose
Based on the Mid-Range Architecture, the Enhanced Mid-Range Architecture expands the performance envelope of 8- to 64-pin 8-bit microcontrollers with several new features. The architecture includes members of the PIC12 and PIC16 families, and features a 14-bit instruction word length. Enhancements include: 32 MHz clock speed, support for larger Flash Memory arrays, an increased operating voltage range of 1.8 to 5.5V, a 16-level deep hardware stack, and low power performance. The Enhanced Mid-Range Architecture also features eXtreme Low Power consumption as low as 10 nA in sleep mode and less than 45 µA/MHz active mode. All products offer Flash program memory with optional Data EEPROM, and are available with an array of analog, digital and serial communication peripherals.
