Design Support

The MIPS Navigator Integrated Component Suite (ICS) enables embedded developers to code, debug, and analyze Linux systems on MIPS-Based SoCs and embedded systems. Navigator ICS supports all MIPS32 processor cores and is fully integrated with the CodeSourcery SG++ GNU-based Toolchain for MIPS. Navigator ICS brings together the tools and technologies for MIPS development in an off-the-shelf product for Linux development.

Navigator ICS is built to harness the power of MIPS System Navigator probes. Coupled with MIPS Technologies' On-Chip Instrumentation (OCI), the suite offers developers a view into their SoC operation. For hardware and software developers who are creating MIPS-based SoCs and embedded systems, Navigator ICS offers a set of standard and optional functions including an Eclipse based-IDE with C/C++ CDT, projects to provide a quick start, support for all MIPS System Navigator probes, and MIPSsim Instruction Accurate models for MIPS cores. Standard plug-ins exist for control and configuration of targets, debug, and analysis, as well as optional plug-ins for RTOS and Linux-aware debug and advanced analysis.
